General

SMART Board Camp  

  • Duration: 2.0 days
  • Session times:
    First day:   8:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
    Other days:   8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (deliverable hours = 14.0)

This course is designed to explore multiple uses of the SMART Board interactive whiteboard. Students will participate in hands-on exercises that guide them through the features of the SMART Board to enhance instruction, comprehension and presentations.

Objectives
Day 1

Given a SMART Board, SMART Board software and SMART Technologies Users Guides, participants will be able to:

  • Setup a SMART Board to a projector
  • Orient the SMART Board
  • Use the control panel to customize the SMART Board
  • Customize the Floating Tools to enhance presentations
  • Use SMART Notebook to create multimedia presentations
  • Use the SMART Board with third party "Aware" application
  • Record actions on the SMART Board with SMART Recorder
  • Describe the features of SMART Video Player
  • Locate additional resources and lessons plans to enhance the SMART Board functions
Day 2
  • Explore Student Response interactive system
  • Use Lesson Activity Toolkit to create interactive presentations
  • Locate additional resources including lesson plans, software and educational websites
  • Participate in mentored learning experience that will allow participants to bring in a current lesson and work with the Instructor on how to incorporate or enhance their lesson with features of SMART's Notebook software
