This course will prepare the student for the LPI 102 exam and includes Linux operating system installation, file system, package managers, network configuration, backup, restore, X Window, kernel configuration, TCP/IP, printing, DHCP and device configuration. There are labs and self-directed exercises.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisite courses required for this course; however, it would be helpful to have a basic knowledge of computer concepts, including an understanding of the function of operating systems. No Linux knowledge is assumed.
